Vaping Illnesses Now Include Increasing the Risk of Stroke

There seems to be no end to the number of illnesses that vaping causes

Monday, January 27, 2020 - According to executives at Juul Inc, vape e-cigarettes were originally intended to help people who were addicted to nicotine quit smoking combustible cigarettes and to gradually wean themselves off of the dangerously addictive drug altogether. In reality, however, nothing could be further from the truth as vaping delivers a nicotine-packed drag many times greater than a traditional cigarette and in reality, smokers have simply traded one dangerous addiction for another. Juul e-cigarettes are accused of being responsible for hundreds of cases of seizures reported around the country, more evidence that vaping can harm the lungs, brain, and central nervous system, and is not safe. NBC News reported that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched an investigation due to a high number of seizures that have been reported by hospital emergency rooms around the nation. Given the epidemic of vape-related emergency room visits hospitals and doctors are required to have patients fill out a vaping questionnaire that is submitted to the FDA. Not only do Juul vape pods contain as much nicotine as a pack of Marlboro cigarettes they also contain chemical additives that allow the e-cigarette user to inhale a much greater dosage of nicotine per puff. According to NBC News researchers have linked ingesting nicotine to causing seizures among other health problems: "Some e-cigarettes such as Juul are designed to deliver nicotine quickly, so that users, especially teens, are getting more of the addictive drug than they realize. Nicotine poisoning can cause seizures, convulsions, vomiting and brain injury. CNBC followed up on the matter and concluded: "In severe cases, nicotine poisoning can cause seizures or even death. ... The FDA said several factors may lead to seizures, such as some e-cigarette designs allowing people to get huge amounts of nicotine quickly or some people deliberately inhaling more nicotine than normal." Juul vape pen lawsuit attorneys warn the public of its dangers and represent Americans harmed from using a Juul vape pen and offer a free consultation with no obligation.

All one has to do to become alarmed with the intensity of a dosage of nicotine delivered is to observe the thickness and density of the exhale from someone who is vaping. Studies have also recently concluded that indicate that vaping more than doubles a person's risk of having a life-threatening stroke According to the Journal of Preventive Medicine. AboutLawsuits reported "Researchers analyzed data from 2016 through 2017 Behavior Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS); a national health survey conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Approximately 161,000 participants between the ages of 18 and 44 years were involved in the study."

The latest statistics seem to indicate that even though vaping has escalated to a full-blown public health crisis, the epidemic of vaping may just be getting started. Teenagers and underage middle school students are taking up vaping by the millions and the number of kids that admit to vaping is currently around 5 million. That number is expected to grow exponentially as the health risks of vaping escape the awareness of this new generation of nicotine addicts.
